From the initial planning meetings, the Bradford Pride Group were determined to make this year’s event different to most other gay Pride celebrations.
The 'Four Days Of Fun’ began with three gay and lesbian Authors, including Narvel Annable, providing readings of their latest work to an audience of over 100. Yorkshire’s popular lgb choir Gay Abandon exercised their vocal chords ending a terrific evening.
The weekend continued with an 80s disco, a same-sex partners quiz and headline act Kinisha as Tina Turner. One of the popular events was Drag-On’s Den where individuals pitched their business ideas to a panel of lgb business people.
The weather held for the 'LGB Walk with Compulsory Fresh Air’ on the Sunday and Bradford’s Asian and black community group warmed walkers with a tasty curry.
So, as the Pride season in Yorkshire comes to a close Bradford Pride was definitely proud to be different!
