on the scene from March 2008
Queer indie/pop night Ice Cream hosts an ‘end-of-term’ party, with Beauty Skool Dropout on March 13th.
‘To celebrate the end of term,’ they tell us, ‘Ice Cream is planning something big. The Thursday club night at the Cockpit, launched last September, is quickly becoming the Leeds gay scene’s mecca of cool attracting a whole host of live acts such as Yes Miss, No Miss, PsychoFags! and Idiometric. In March, Brighton based electro duo Beauty Skool Dropout will be heading up for the party.
Describing their sound as “shameless pop for teens and queens” the pair are a huge hit, having spent 2007 touring endlessly to much acclaim. 2008 already looks pretty busy, so catch them while you can! And, as usual, expect plenty of sweets, cold treats, prizes and tequila shots courtesy of Ice Cream’s own party monsters while resident DJs play your indie, electro and grrrl pop faves. Stick it in your diary.’
