Sheffield Fuel’s re-launch party was a phenomenal success, they tell us, with the queue for the club going around the block. Drag DJ host Vanity Case was spinning kitsch pop tunes in the second room all night to a packed dance floor, while Gavin Lampitt and the Funky Punks played some of the best funky house and electro in the main room. The atmosphere was electric and the two new rooms certainly made a difference, the mini bar has been revamped with sumptuous décor including chandeliers and faux fur on the walls! The main room has been enlarged and a huge white DJ box has been built facing centrally towards the crowd. Crazy entertainers kept the crowd visually occupied with stilt walking and angle-grinding while the trashy trannies made the wait in the queue more bearable with cheeky jibes and taunts. Fuel, they say, will prove to be one of the most popular venues now in Sheffield, with an amazing future line up of quality DJ’s and entertainment and they are now back to seven nights a week opening time!
