Xibit

on the scene
from June 2006

Leeds newest venue opened its doors in May.

Xibit occupies what used to be The Base, and is brought to you by the same team (Philip and Lance, pictured left) that runs the ever popular Bridge.

Xibit is a bit of an unusual mix, billing itself as Leeds’ ‘only gay restaurant’, whilst also offering opening hours long after they stop serving food (up to 2am from Thursday to Saturday), and DJs at the weekend - so we expect the bar should be a lively place not just for diners but also for those looking for a good night out.

The venue is looking fresh and bright after being redecorated, and is also displaying art from local artists.

As for the food - everything we tried on the opening night was tasty, and well presented.

What more could you ask for? Address: 24-32 Bridge End (formerly the Base), Leeds
Times: Sun 1pm-12.30am; Mon-Wed 12-12, Thur-Sat noon - 2am. Food: Sun 1-5; Mon-Sat 12-3 and 5-8.
