Sunday July 29th sees - believe it or not - the twenty-first Pink Picnic at Castle Hill in Huddersfield.
The biggest outdoor gay picnic in the north, The Pink Picnic promises to be even bigger and better this year.
Entertainment on the on-site stage kicks off at midday and runs through to the early evening when the crowds move into Huddersfield town centre for more fun at the bars.
During the day, there’s loads to keep you entertained up at Castle Hill - DJs, drag acts, the final of the karaoke competition, singers, bands and dozens of information stalls from queer groups, organisations and businesses from across the north. Not to mention the beer and food tents and stalls.
And if you’re in a competitive mood, there are ‘best dressed pet’, ‘best picnic spread’ and ‘best outfit’ competitions.
See the centre pages of this issue for full details - including a list of entertainment, a map and information about buses.
