The north’s biggest licensed gay sauna has just opened for business - in Leeds!
The Steam Complex opened last month, and Yorkshire’s sauna-going gay men can look forward to a very happy Christmas.
Steam is huge. Not just big, but huge!
Amongst the delights on offer are a fully licensed bar serving alcohol from 9am-midnight, a large spa with colour-changing mood lighting, a large steam room and sauna catering for up to 25 in each, private cabins supplied with free condoms and lubrication, a range of play rooms with slings and viewing windows, a labyrinth of corridors and rooms, a lounge in the centre of the complex with a second floor balcony and stage (this will double up as the events arena when they have entertainment on), a large 20-man cinema and free internet access.
And as if that’s not enough, we’re told that the complex will shortly be adding a full cardiovascular gym to their list of facilities. And you don’t have to worry about parking either, as there is a private car park especially for the Steam customers.
A host of specialist events are in the pipeline, too - everything from underwear nights, bears and fetish gear through to Buff, a night where you are encouraged to leave your towel in your locker!
The place has to be seen to believed - and its so big that, if you take a friend, you’ll be lucky to clap eyes on him again!
Opening hours are 9am-3am, seven days a week (last entry 2am) and it’s on Eyres Avenue in Armley. For directions and more details please go to their website or phone.
